With maybe the exception of fibrous/green veggies… ALWAYS measure your portions until you become a pro at eyeballing it. This can be one of the biggest issues for people when trying to lose weight. They know they are eating healthy.. but they can’t seem to figure out why they aren’t losing weight. After measuring their foods for a few days, they realize portion size is to blame. Don’t get discouraged, it happens!
Fats contain 9 calories per gram, whereas carbs and protein contain only 4 calories per gram!! This means you could be consuming WAY more calories than you think you are if you are not measuring. Think those peanut butter sandwiches are helping your waistline? If you aren’t measuring, they very well could be adding to it!
Invest in a food scale and some cheap measuring cups (all can be purchased for LOW prices at places like Wal Mart). If the serving size says a tablespoon, they mean a LEVEL tablespoon, not heaping.. many girls pile the peanut butter on their sandwich without realizing they are about to consume a couple hundred more calories than they thought.
Do not avoid healthy fats just because they are high in calories though.. they are necessary for proper bodily functions and fat loss. Just make sure to measure them!Do NOT BEGIN WEIGHING YOUR FOOD. Or counting your calories.
you will NEVER stop.
This post is fucking idiotic. This country is far too obsessed with fucking numbers. Eat until you’re healthy, know what you’re eating. Stop eating processed foods.
If you cut out meat from your diet, you’d be surprised how quickly you’d drop weight.
It’s not that hard.
this.
